Alana Wulff is a senior copywriter and freelance journalist currently based in Sydney. Services include campaign ideation, copywriting, naming, content strategy, tone of voice creation, proofreading and editing.
Through her strategic and creative approach to verbal branding and story-based communication, Alana creates impactful and engaging copy with a considered and experienced point of view. She has over 14 years’ experience and a portfolio that covers lifestyle, fashion, art, culture, property and design.
Having started her career as an entertainment and lifestyle journalist for major publishers including Bauer, Pacific Magazines, Fairfax, News Corp and Foxtel, Alana spent more than a decade interviewing Hollywood’s biggest celebrities while covering the latest in film, television and music.
Alana later moved into the world of branding and advertising, having worked as a Senior Copywriter for some of Australia’s leading agencies (Tongue, Designworks, Landor, Hoyne, Sibling, Houston, Enigma, We Are Unity,The General Store).
In 2021, Alana founded HIMMEL, a specialist writing studio that crafts engaging copy and tone of voice guides for brands within the culture, lifestyle, fashion and design space. She also continues to work as a freelance journalist with recent by-lines in VOGUE Living, The New York Times and The Sydney Morning Herald.
Alana is the author of numerous bestselling books including Girlish (BlackInc), a guide to feminism for teenage girls. Additionally, Alana has significant live speaking experience and media training.
